Fusion Energy: Taming a Star
Explore the physics and engineering principles behind fusion energy, from plasma behaviour and confinement to materials, diagnostics, and the challenge of building future energy systems.
Summer Courses for High-School and Undergraduate Students
The AEMS Academy offers one-week summer courses for highly motivated high-school and undergraduate students with an aptitude in the sciences and mathematics. This summer, students can explore two frontier areas of modern STEM: fusion energy and photonics.
Available Courses
Each course introduces students to a major scientific and technological field through interdisciplinary concepts, real-world applications, and exposure to current research directions.
Explore the physics and engineering principles behind fusion energy, from plasma behaviour and confinement to materials, diagnostics, and the challenge of building future energy systems.
Investigate how light is generated, controlled, measured, and applied across optics, materials science, communications, medicine, sensing, computing, and modern engineering.
